Family of the Month
The St. Bernadette/Sacred Heart Council of the Knights of Columbus, Council 12269, wishes to congratulate Barry and Katie Adams as our Family of the Month for October. Barry and Katie have two small children, Henry and Grace, who they bring to mass every week. Katie was baptized and attended school at St. Bernadette and Barry completed his Order of Catholic Initiation for Adults (OCIA) before the two were wed at St. Bernadette. Barry works at Alta Resources and is a member of the Knights of Columbus. Barry and Katie have served on Finance and Parish councils respectively. They are also involved with the Young Couples Group. Please join the Knights of Columbus in thanking Barry and Katie for everything they do and being a model family of Catholic values.
Our Awards
Knights of Columbus Council 12269 has recieved the distinction of Star Council, the international organizations' top award for local councils. The Star Council Award recognizes overall excellence in the areas of membership, promotion of fraternal insurance benefits, as well as sponorship of faith formation programs and service oriented activities.
Knights of Columbus Council 12269 has been awarded the State Deputy award for Divison II. This is given to the top Council in the State of Wisconsin in each of the 3 divisions based on programs, activities and achievements. Council 12269 was also awarded the State Program Activity award in Division II which is given to the top council in each Diocese. This is the first time Council 12269 was given these awards.
